By Air

The nearest international airport is Düsseldorf, approximately 40 km from the conference venue. The airport is well-connected with major global cities, making travel convenient for both domestic and international attendees. From the airport, you can reach the venue via:

  • ⁠Taxis and ride-sharing apps (Uber, Free Now, Taxi.eu/Taxi Deutschland)
  • ⁠Public transportation (bus/train) – further information provided in the guide

By Road

Driving from Düsseldorf to the Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen typically takes 30 to 45 minutes, largely via the A3 or A59 autobahns. The venue is located in the Neue Mitte area of Oberhausen. Traffic can be heavy around Duisburg/Oberhausen, especially during rush hour (morning/afternoon). Parking at Rudolf Weber-Arena 

  • ⁠Parking Options: There are thousands of parking spaces around the arena, including at the CentrO shopping centre and surrounding designated areas.
  • Costs: Parking fees may apply, especially for large events.

By Public Transport

Local buses and train services operate frequently to the conference area. Check local transit schedules for the most efficient routes.

By Train

Travelling from Düsseldorf Airport (DUS) to the Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen typically takes about 37–50 minutes by train, generally involving a change at Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) or Duisburg. The venue is near Oberhausen Hbf station, making it easy to access via local transit. Tickets can be purchased via Deutsche Bahn or apps like Thetrainline.com
Route Details: 

  • Step 1: Train to Main Line Station: Take the SkyTrain (from terminal B/C) or S-Bahn S11 (from terminal A/B) to Düsseldorf Flughafen Terminal (the main train station) or take the S1/S11 from the airport station to Düsseldorf Hbf.
  • Step 2: Train to Oberhausen: From Düsseldorf Hbf or Duisburg Hbf, take a regional train (RE) towards Oberhausen Hbf.
  • Step 3: Transfer to Venue: From Oberhausen Hbf, you can take a local bus or taxi to the arena (approx. 5-10 minutes).
